She manages to weave in appropriate stories that these groups can really relate to, and laugh about, while appreciating the responsibilities inherent in working with other people’s money.

Originally, Amanda qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Queensland where she majored in psychology and then worked in hospitals for the next five years.

During the next few years, she specialised in private practice focusing on sports, back and neck injuries. She then started her own business in ergonomics and occupational health consulting, working in all areas of business, government and manufacturing. During this time, she co-authored a book called “Pause Gymnastics” and authored others called “The Office Athlete” and “Stress Busters.”

For the last 20 years, she has been a speaker on wellness, stress management, and lifestyle issues as well as communication, relationships and leadership. She has spoken for most of the medical and pharmaceutical organizations in Australia and a number in the USA – both for their staff and their clients. Amanda has done at least two Australia-wide tours for both pharmaceutical and medical clients of Astra Zeneca and Novartis in addition to speaking for hospitals, nursing groups, occupational health, dental and medical associations and a multitude of industry conventions.

Her background in physical therapy, psychology, ergonomics, sales, stress and communications together with her experience in hospitals and private practice provides Amanda with a unique understanding of the needs of the people within the Healthcare industry.

Many event venues decide to invite Amanda back to present to their own staff! They see her on stage and want their team to hear the same message. Many hotels have used her to present at their ‘AM’ marketing breakfasts or lunches or have continued her education to the full staff via video. Amanda worked closely with a number of people who worked in hospitality and who had completed their Hospitality training at a tertiary institution. Through her experiences as a veteran speaker and traveller, Amanda has insider knowledge of what goes on in the industry.

Amanda seems to be a favorite of the insurance and financial industries! She has spoken at Million Dollar Round Table twice and to every Insurance company in Australia a number of times! She has also spoken for many American Insurance companies…either at their annual conference or to their delegates on incentive trips. One of the aspects about Amanda that makes her popular is that most people in the insurance industries have ‘seen it all’ in terms of speakers! She has spoken to EVERY Real Estate organization in Australia and New Zealand (at least once and usually more!) and many in the USA…and to most of the Real Estate Institutes in Australia. The fact that she speaks on sales and understands the sophisticated secret skills of selling propels her popularity in this industry. Amanda has personal experience achieved from her purchase and development of a number of properties. She has worked closely with agents involved to gain a good understanding of the industry.
